Willard C. Hoheisel, age 86, of New Prague, died Friday December 19, 2014 at Mala Strana Health Care Center. Willard was born August 11, 1928 in Buffalo, Wisconsin to Walter Wuellner and Gertrude R. Hoheisel. Willard was raised in Pierz, MN and was a Little Falls High School graduate. Willard married Helen G. Theis on November 30, 1950 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Beckman, MN. He was a Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean war and then worked as a Parts & Service Manager for Ford dealerships, first in Spring Valley, MN and then, starting in 1967, at New Prague Ford. Besides enjoying fishing he was a Third Degree Knights of Columbus and was active in the American Legion, VFW, and Eagles.
Willard is survived by his wife Helen, 4 children Daniel of New Prague, Thomas of Hudson, WI, Michael (& Linda) of Hudson, WI, and Brenda (& Ricky) Schmitz of New Prague; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Willard’s parents and great-granddaughter Evelyn Rose Hoheisel preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 22nd at 10:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague with Father Kevin Clinton officiating. Visitation takes place Sunday Dec. 21st from 4-8 PM and Monday Dec.22nd from 7:30-9:30 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home. KC Rosary will be led Sunday at 7:00 PM. Burial will follow Mass in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Lunch will follow at the Legion Clubroom in New Prague.
