Wayne Barrington, age 78, of Belle Plaine, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at his home. Wayne was born on October 27, 1933 in Cozard, Nebraska, to Lawrence William & Pearl Oscea (Haynes) Barrington. He grew up and attended high school in Blue Rapids, Kansas. He married Betty Jean Vaught on November 18, 1953 in Marysville, Marshall County, Kansas. They lived most of their lives in the New Prague area where Wayne was employed as a well driller, a service technician for Minnesota Valley Breeders Association, school bus driver for New Prague Schools, and finally a bus driver for Mystic Lake.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; children, Dwayne of Owatonna, Terry of Belle Plaine, Beverly Mann of Auburn, NE, Jocelyn (& Mike) Young of Oketo, KS, Roger of Montgomery, Gary of Jordan, Jeffrey of Belle Plaine, Jimmy (& Jodie) of Lonsdale, Susan (& Ron) Tuma of New Prague, Bobby of Belle Plaine, David of New Prague, Randy of Belle Plaine; 20 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; brother, Lawrence William (& Charlie) Barrington of Blue Rapids, KS. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Glen Dean Barrington, Arlen Lee Haynes.
There will be no services here. Services and burial (at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Blue Rapids, KS) will take place in Kansas at a later date.
