Warren Wilson, age 62, of New Prague, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at his home. Warren was born September 8, 1950 in Santa Cruz, California, to Robert & Anita (Grant) Wilson. He was raised in California and graduated from St. Mary’s University also in California. He moved to Minnesota in 1991 and worked for IBM as a consultant. He married Anita York on June 29, 1998 in Maui, Hawaii and the couple made their home in New Prague. Warren was a member of the Minnesota Quarter Horse Assoc., MN Amateur Quarter Horse Assoc., & District 4 Quarter Horse Assoc. He loved his animals, especially his horse, Scooby and his dog, Maggie. Warren was an avid Harley rider and was known by all as a very kind, giving, helping, and totally self-less man.
Warren is survived by his wife, Anita York; Daughter, Kim (& Nick) Norton of Columbia, California Grandchildren, Jackson & Jana Norton; Brother, Robert Wilson; Mother-in-law, Gena York of New Prague; Brother-in-law, Ken York (& wife, Heidi Josephson) and daughter, Josee of Rochester Hills, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Hosanna Church in Lakeville with visitation 1 hour prior to service also at church. Lunch will follow at church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to The Animal Humane Society.
