Tim Nims, age 57, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on Monday, November 13, 2017.  Tim was born in Minneapolis on August 26, 1960 to George A. and Shirley (Schulze) Nims.  Tim grew up in Richfield and graduated from Richfield High School.  He attended schooling to prepare him for his life’s work as a welder; most recently, he worked for Contech.  Tim married the love of his life, Roselinn “Rose” Farley on December 6, 2013 in Shakopee.  Tim was very close to his family and enjoyed nothing more than time with them.  He was passionate about his ’51 Chevy Woody Wagon.  In addition, he loved to cook, eat, fish, and hunt.

Tim is survived by his wife, Rose, of New Prague; father, George Nims of Nevis, MN; step-son, Michael Fletcher of Shakopee; brother, Steve Nims of Minneapolis; niece and her children, Jessica Sticha, Eddie and Colt of New Prague.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley and brother, Rick.

A private Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, November 18, 2017.  Memorials are preferred to the Cancer Society.
