Sibila “Siby” Turek, age 83, of Victoria, formerly of Veseli, died Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska, MN.  Siby was born on March 19, 1931 in Montgomery Township, Le Sueur County, MN to Laddie & Rose (Mucha) Kaisersatt.  She was raised in Le Center, MN and graduated from Le Sueur High School.  Siby married Ervin T. “Babe” Turek on October 11, 1950 in Montgomery, MN.  She worked at Green Giant, now Seneca Foods, in Montgomery for 46 consecutive seasons and was an Avon Representative for 12 years.  She was a member of the Altar Society of Most Holy Trinity Church in Veseli, a member of the Lonsdale Historical Society, and a member of the Montgomery-Lonsdale Toastmasters.  Siby loved driving, garage sales, and cats.  Her grandchildren remember her for her great back rubs and back scratches.

Siby is survived by her son, Ervin “Junior” (& Joyce) Turek of Lonsdale; daughter, Debbie (& Keith) Thomas of Lakeville; sister-in-law, Julie Ann (& Joe) Leahy of Webster; brothers-in-law, Billy Turek of Lonsdale, Gary (& Mary Jo) Turek of New Prague; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Babe on March 22, 2014; her parents; sister-in-law, Kathy Turek; great-grandchild, Joseph Ervin Ziskovsky.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Most Holy Trinity Church in Veseli with Father John Lapensky officiating.  Visitation will take place on Friday from 4 – 8 PM and on Saturday morning from 9 – 11 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home. Burial will occur at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Veseli.  Lunch will follow at the Lonsdale Legion Club.
