Obituary

Shirley Ann Mann passed away on December 12th, 2023, at the age of 83 at her home in New Prague.

She was born February 15th, 1940, in International Falls, MN to William and Gertrude (Blake) Napper.

On November 8th, 1958, she was united in marriage to Elroy "Bud" Mann. The couple moved to Minneapolis and also lived in Brooklyn Center and Burnsville. Shirley spent over 35 years working at Unisys in St. Paul. After retirement, Shirley moved to New Prague to be closer to family.

She was a passionate reader and had a sense of humor others envied. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sipping coffee and having a sweet treat with her treasured friends weekly. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She cherished all the time spent with them.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband; siblings, Glen Napper, Mike (Ruth) Napper, Johnny (Laverne) Napper, Gladys (Arnold) Bacon, Joyce (Francis) Einarson, Billy Napper, Blake (Gladys) Napper, Wally Napper; sister-in-law, Elaine Napper.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Tammy (Donald) Efta of Princeton, Bret of Eagan and Shari (Tom) Schmitz of New Prague, bonus daughter, Theresa (Gary) Wenzel of Prior Lake. 6 Grandchildren, Monique Efta (Laura Ayala Martinez) of Ventura, CA, Anna (Cody) Sargent of Prior Lake, Felicia (Connor) McKeeman of Wahiawa, HI, Makayla (Brad) Drazan of New Prague, Mackenzie Schmitz of New Prague, Madison Schmitz (Frank Bartyzal) of Seattle, WA and 7 Great-Grandchildren, Tegan Wenzel, Kiarah and Uriah McKeeman, Anders, Kinley, Hudson and Beckett Drazan and baby McKeeman (due in June); siblings; Buzz Napper, Maxine (Robert) Johnston, Kay (Gene) Krogstad.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Ben Hilding officiating. Visitation will take place at church from 8-10:30. Lunch will follow the service in the church social hall.
