Roselyn M. Weiers, age 81, of Union Hill, passed away peacefully at home on October 8th, 2015.  Roselyn was born September 20, 1934 to Norbert and Barbara (Schoenecker) Michel.  She graduated from New Prague High School.  On August 25, 1956, Roselyn married Francis Weiers at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill and made a life on their family farm.  Roselyn loved to socialize while playing cards, bingo and bowling.  She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, volunteering at The Lutheran Home Thrift Store, and donating blood, earning her 10-gallon pin.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Roselyn is survived by her husband, Francis; children, Ken (& Cathy) Weiers, Maureen (& Don) Sandmeyer, Ron (& Dianne) Weiers, Mike (& Chris) Weiers, Marcie (& Mark) Hartman, Dave (& Pam) Weiers, Michelle (& Chad) Nohner; grandchildren, Kevin (& Alicia), John, Jenna, Lisa, Katelin, Kelsey, Rebecca, Travis, Calvin, Sydney, Kayla, Evan, Mathew, Claire, Jared; great-grandchildren, Alana and Kensley; sisters, Mary Catherine Chromy and Irene Michel; in-laws; many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vincent and Francis Michel; sister, Jeanette Lahnala; grandson, David Sandmeyer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church in Union Hill with Father Dave Barrett officiating.  Visitation will take place Sunday from 4 – 7 PM and Monday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at the church cemetery immediately after Mass, followed by lunch at the KC Hall in New Prague.
