Ronald Hunt, age 86, of New Prague, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague. Ron was born December 1, 1927 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Albert & Alice Hunt. He attended Chippewa Falls Public Schools. Ron served in the U.S. Army during WWII and married Lois M. Carlson on December 2, 1950 in South Milwaukee, WI. He worked as Chief Electrician for 42 years at the Ladish Company in Cudahy, WI, where he belonged to the exclusive “Fat Man’s Club”. He was active in the Lions, loved to golf, do remodeling and handyman projects, and listening to live music. Family gatherings and travel were sources of great enjoyment for him.
Ron is survived by his wife Lois, of New Prague; 4 children, Brian & Betty Hunt of Hartford, WI, Joleen & George Kohler of Custer, SD, Kim Hunt of Montgomery, Kris & Julie Hunt of New Prague; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by sisters, Helen Carter & Dorothy Belot and brothers, George & Robert Hunt.
Visitation will be held at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday February 1, 2014 followed by services at 3:00 PM with Pastor Henry Koch of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Military Rites will be conducted immediately after the service. Burial will occur at a later date at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Oak Creek, WI
