Obituary

Ronald Max Bartusek, age 75, of Veseli, died peacefully on November 15, 2021 at Mayo Hospital in Rochester. He was born February 23, 1946 in Webster to Max and Josephine (Sticha) Bartusek. He graduated from New Prague High School in 1964 and joined the US Navy in 1965. He was stationed on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War and was discharged in 1967. He then met his wife, Linda Kraska, and later married her on September 5, 1970 in Prior Lake. They had two sons, Marty and Ronnie and gave them five grandchildren, Shelby, Reed, Avery, Logan, and Owen. His wife, sons, and grandchildren were the love of his life. He also loved to fish, hunt, and garden, of which he was always so proud. He also liked to visit with people no matter where he was and was good at telling stories and everyone listened to him. He worked at various places over the years including Thermo King, Cargill, Continental Machines, and Hydro-Vac. He was a 50-year member of New Prague American Legion and VFW. He retired in 2008 and enjoyed life as much as possible.

Ron is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Marty (Becky) Bartusek and Ronnie Bartusek (special friend, Trisha Skeesick); 5 grandchildren; sisters, Ann Javurek, JoAnn (Jeff) Tuma, Darlene (Dan) Tuma, Kaylene (Steve) Evans; brother, Max Bartusek; many nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by parents; brothers-in-law, George Javurek & David Kraska; sisters-in-law, Karen Bartusek & Jennifer Kraska.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli with Father John Lapensky officiating. Visitation will take place Sunday at Bruzek Funeral Home from 4-7 PM and Monday morning from 7:30 – 9:15. Military honors will be conducted after Mass at church by the New Prague Area Veterans Honor Guard.
