Robert H. Hauer, age 73, of New Prague died Thursday July 23, 2015 at his home.  Bob was born on April 10 1942 in Derrynane Township, Le Sueur County to John H. and Eleanore A. (Studnicka) Hauer.  He attended Union Hill School, New Prague High School, and Mankato State College.  He married Judith M. Halik on June 6, 1964 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery,

Bob worked as Project Warehouse Manager at Green Giant/Seneca in Montgomery but first and foremost he loved farming. He was past Grand Knight of the Montgomery Knights of Columbus, was a member of the LeSueur County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, Montgomery National Golf Club, sang in the St. Scholastica Church choir, and served on the St. Scholastica Cemetery Board and the Minnesota Valley Electric Coop Board of Directors.

Bob is survived by his wife Judy; son Dustin (& Katy) Hauer of Minneapolis, daughter Krystal (& Christopher) Ludgate and granddaughter Mallory of Farmington; brother Donald (& Rosie) Hauer of Le Center; sister Sharon Roberts of Shakopee, and sister-in-law Suzi Conway.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesdy July 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg with Father Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation will take place at Bruzek Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM and on Wednesday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 AM, with a KC Rosary at 7 PM on Tuesday at Bruzek’s.  Burial will occur at the St. Scholastica Cemetery in Heidelberg.  Lunch will follow at the KC Hall in New Prague
