Randall V. Stack, age 78, formerly of Hopkins, died peacefully in his sleep, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his residence in Rosemount. Born February 20, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to Vince and Mary (Stockton) Stack, he lived in southern California until 2003 when he moved to Minnesota.

Randall was a gentle, graceful soul who loved life and never let his disabilities and health issues hinder all that he desired to participate in. His diminished sight turned into nearly complete blindness in his late 40s. Nevertheless, he continued to pursue any opportunity for adventure such as camping, kayaking, horseback riding, navigating the BART trains while living in Oakland, CA for a time, and riding a trike in his later years, a birthday gift from a friend. He walked daily outside, navigating with his white cane, no matter the weather. Randall was known for his great love of food and often attended lunch and dinner outings with friends in the blind community. He also enjoyed painting, pottery, crafts, cooking classes, radio programs, and listening to readings of the Bible on tape or CD.

Randall accumulated a lifetime of travels with his family to all the states in North America (Hawaii was a favorite), parts of Canada, Mexico, the South Pacific islands, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of South America including the Panama Canal.

Randall was active in church and many blind community support groups (thanks to Vision Loss Resources), and his faithful attendance will be missed. Thank you to all whose paths crossed Randall's and made his life richer. Special tribute goes to Pete and Tracy who lovingly helped care for Randall in his later years.

Randall is survived by his sister, Janis Borchers (JC Ingebrand) of New Prague, and his nephews, Jacob and Caden. Private family services will be held in California.
