Patricia M. Spicer, age 73, of New Prague, MN passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025, at St. Gertrude's Health and Rehabilitation Center, Shakopee, MN. Patty was born on May 26, 1951, in Estherville, Iowa to Merritt and Janice (Chapman) Dale. She grew up on a farm in the Armstrong, Iowa area where she attended school. She graduated from Armstrong High School and continued her education at Normandale College to become an RN after moving to Lakeville, MN.

Patty was active in her church bible study at Lydia United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and carpentry. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Giving of her time and energies was who she was, taking care of everyone around her.

In the second chapter of her life, she fell in love with Jeffrey Spicer. Patty and Jeff were married May 18, 2003, and they built their dream home in New Prague, MN. It would not be out of the ordinary to find Patty working on projects on the house or baking pies for her workmates in the Emergency Dept. at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee.

Her love and kindness cannot be overstated. She will be missed by every life she touched.

Patty is survived by her husband, Jeff; children, Christopher & Jessi (wife) Claeys of Lakeville, Emily Claeys of St. Peter, and Erika Claeys of Burnsville; siblings, Richard and Cathy (wife) Dale of Armstrong, IA, Cathy and Randal (husband) Tiegs of Glenville, MN, Robert Dale of Armstrong, IA, Sarah (Mike) Anderson of Swea City, IA, Michael Dale of Glenville, MN; and 4 grandchildren.

Family that has passed on include her parents Janice and Merritt Dale and her nephew Corey Tiegs.

Friday May 30, 2025 there is a visitation at 4 and the service starts at 5 at Lydia United Methodist Church in rural Jordan, MN with pastor Larry Kasten officiating.
