Pamela Jean Kohout, age 59 of New Prague, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Mayo Hospital in New Prague.  Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10 at the Faith Point Church in New Prague.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 9 at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, and one hour prior to service time at the church on Tuesday.

Pam was born on May 10, 1958 to Merlin and Margaret (Fischer) Anderson in St. Paul, MN.  She married Ivan Kohout on February 28, 1984 in Shakopee.  Pam enjoyed farming, gardening, and getting together with family to go bowling.  She especially loved family game nights playing cards, and board games.  She was very close with her family and enjoyed being a mom and grandma.  Pam had a big heart, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ivan; children, Bobbie (Sam) Mapes of New Prague, and Mitchell (Briana) Kohout of Montgomery; grandchildren, Joshua and Samantha Mapes; siblings, Jeff (Desi) Anderson of Shakopee, Mike Anderson of Prior Lake, Vicky Williams of Shakopee, Brenda (Bob) Lukes of New Prague, Julie (Jack) Busch of New Prague, and Betty (Kenny) Schmitz of New Prague; father,-in-law, Harry Kohout of Aitkin, MN; brothers & sisters-in-law, Marvin (Susie Pawlak) Kohout of Jordan, Diane (George) Simek of Jordan, Barbara (Jim) Huckenpoehler of New Prague, Roxanne (Leonard) Korbel of New Prague, Brenda (Greg) Loffler of New Prague, and Mark Kohout of Eagan; and many nieces and nephews.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Viola Kohout; and brother-in-law, Gerald Kohout.
