Oscar Loeffler, age 90, of Elko New Market, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his home. Oscar was born in Munich, Germany on October 26, 1923 to Oscar Bruno and Sabine (Damberger) Loeffler. He was in Germany and married Eva Maria Getzke on May 20, 1953 in Munich. The couple moved to the USA on December 30, 1957 and Oscar worked as a master tool maker, and was a designer of tools for mass production. Oscar was a member of the Masonic Ancient Landmark Lodge No. 5 in St. Paul. He loved gardening and woodworking, creating many intricate wood masterpieces.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Eva of Elko New Market and step-son, Robert (& Weltraud) Schermer of Munich, Germany. He is preceded in death by his parents and step-grandson, Juergen Schermer.
Services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home with the Masons from the Ancient Landmark Lodge No 5 conducting the service. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Lunch will follow at the Fishtale Grill in New Prague.
