Michael J. Modriefsky, age 66, of New Prague, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague.  Mike was born January 17, 1949 in New Prague to Michael J. Modriefsky Sr. and Helen (Meger) Modriefsky.  He was raised in the St. Thomas, MN area and attended the Le Sueur County District School.  Mike married Donna M. Hughes on November 8, 1975 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.  Mike worked as a truck driver for the Willy Mueller & Sons Trucking business in Carver, MN.  He enjoyed fishing, watching old cowboy TV shows, and visiting with family and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife Donna of New Prague, son Leo of New Prague, brother Eugene of Waterville,

sisters Gladys Modriefsky of Waseca, Diane Modriefsky of Henderson, and Janet Ruff of Le Center, and many nieces & nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law George Ruff, Kenneth Hughes, and Matthew Hughes, and sister-in-law Betty Jilek.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague with visitation one hour prior to service.  Burial will be at Czech National Cemetery in New Prague.
