Michael George Kasper, age 69, of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jean and Dale Kasper; brothers, Robert and Mark.  He is survived by his wife of 26 years and the love of his life, Carolyn; children, Shellie (Ross) Bredesen, Scott Kasper, Matthew (Alicia) Kasper, April (James) Stender, Aaron (Amy) Schultz; siblings, Steve (Ruth) Kasper, Tom (Linda) Kasper, Mary (Mark) Simon, Paul (Mandy) Kasper, Ann (Lawrence) Washington; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 7 ^th at 10:30 AM at NewDay Church (1201 1 ^st St. NE, New Prague).  Visitation will take place Friday from 4-7 PM and Saturday morning 1 hour prior to service, all at church.  Military honors will be conducted after the service at church.
