Michael Lambrecht “Delrose”, age 60, of New Prague, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at home after a short battle with cancer. Mike was born October 14, 1953 in Minneapolis to Joseph W. & Rosemary A. (Schoenecker) Lambrecht. He was raised in New Prague and attended Jordan and New Prague Public Schools. After graduating from New Prague High School, he attended trade school in Denver, CO. A gifted tool and die maker, machinist, and welder, Mike owned and operated Delrose Tool and Manufacturing in New Prague. Listening to old antique gas engines running was music to Mike’s soul! He enjoyed morel mushroom hunting, fishing, squirrel hunting, gardening, horseshoes, and riding motorcycles and was a retired member of the Brotherhood of Proud Motorcyclists. A natural teacher, Mike enjoyed fixing things and teaching others by sharing his knowledge.
Michael is survived by daughter, Tara (& Jereme “Dude”) Jones of Bovill, Idaho; friend, Lorri Hunt of New Prague; mother, Rosemary Lambrecht of New Prague; siblings, Susan Martin of Kilkenny, Joseph (& Carol) Lambrecht of New Prague, Kathleen (& Jeff) Smith of New Prague; 2 grandchildren, Tessa (& Jordan) Olson, Jereme Par2 Jones; 10 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph W. Lambrecht; brother, Randolph E. Lambrecht; nephew, Darby Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father George Grafsky officiating. Visitation will take place Thursday from 4 – 8 PM and Friday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 at Bruzek Funeral Home. Interment will take place at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Serving as urn bearer will be Michael’s brother, Joseph Lambrecht; honorary pallbearers will be, Gary “Gopher” Mamer, Peter Paul, Paul Hedstrom “Smally”, Brian Grossman, Harry Hartung, Greg Burns “Bernie”, Dean Winters, Alroy Lambrecht, Don Nickolay “45”, Tom Breimhorst “Orangy”. Lunch will follow burial at the KC Hall in New Prague.
