Martha Dvorak, age 88, of New Prague, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague.  Martha was born April 12, 1925 in New Prague to John and Anna (Rheinstein) Zvanovec. She attended New Prague Elementary and High School and lived her entire life in the New Prague/Jordan area.  She married Edward F. Dvorak on May 8, 1954 in New Prague.  Martha farmed with her husband and son, enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and housekeeping.  She particularly loved her cats and dogs on the farm.

Martha is survived by her son, Edward M. Dvorak of Jordan; 2 sisters, Irene Baumgartner of Minneapolis and Camille “Connie” Hanson of Owen, IA; many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward on March 11, 1984; her parents; 2 brothers, Eugene & Stanley Zvanovec.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Father Dave Barrett officiating.  Visitation will be held also at Bruzek Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM and Wednesday morning from 7:30 until mass time.  Interment will occur at Czech National Cemetery and lunch will follow at the KC Hall.
