Marie Schiprett, age 93, of Lonsdale, formerly of New Prague, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Villages of Lonsdale. Marie was born December 30, 1922 at St. Henry, MN to John B. and Anna (Oitzel) Huonder.  She was raised in the St. Henry area and attended Le Sueur High School.  On September 17, 1949, Marie married Raymond H. Schiprett at St. Henry, MN and moved to a hobby farm in New Prague, where the couple raised their six children.  Marie was a member of the Foresters and the New Prague VFW Auxiliary.  She was an avid scrapbooker and enjoyed baking, cards, and games.  She was especially devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her husband, Raymond of Lonsdale; children, Chuck Schiprett (Christine Schaffer) of Burnsville, Richard “Dick” Schiprett of New Prague, Shirley Korbel of New Prague, Kathryn (Randy) Skluzacek of Montgomery, Kevin (Sandy) Schiprett of New Prague; sister, Louise Vyskocil of Shakopee; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Schiprett; brothers, Johnny & Jim Huonder; sister, Betty Sticha.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation will take place Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Interment will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery followed by lunch at the KC Hall.
