Marcia E. Eide, age 93, of New Prague, died peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center. Marcia was born on March 29, 1931, in St. Paul, to Herman and Martha (Stanke) Becker. She graduated from Harding High School and went on to Gustavus Adolphus College for a short time before finishing her nursing degree from Bethesda Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse. She married Arnold R. Eide on September 1, 1955, in St. Paul, and after she had her second child, she became a dedicated full-time mother! Marcia's Lutheran faith served as a centering for her life and she always saw the positive side of everything. She was kind-hearted and positive! She was an avid bowler and a prolific producer of embroidery and cross-stitch. She also enjoyed WordSearch and would never say no to a scratch-off! Her positivity and kindness made her a favorite of all who knew her!

Marcia is survived by her son, Robert (Patricia) Eide of New Prague; daughter-in-law, Lanae Eide of Maplewood; grandchildren, Alex (Megan) Eide, Michael (Sarah Fox) Eide, Emmalee (Ryan) Rendall, Mitchell Eide, Matthew Eide; great-grandson, Tyson Eide. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1995; son, James; brother, Bernard Becker.
