Lucille Albers, age 74, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Columbia, Missouri, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Lucille was born September 5, 1938 in Karlsruhe, North Dakota to George & Regina (Boehm) Ganje. She was raised in North Dakota and attended Minot State University and graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked in a number of psychiatric facilities in North and South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Missouri, and Connecticut as a nurse practitioner and as an administrator, most notably in the area of Adolescent Psychiatry.
Lucille is survived by daughter, Ericka (& Dan) Venske of New Prague; son, Dale John (“John”) Albers of Columbia, MO; brothers, George (& Susan) Ganje of Sun City, AZ, Leonard Ganje of Mandan, ND, Frank Ganje of Grand Rapids, MN, John Ganje of Williston, ND; sisters, Mary Peterson of Prior Lake, MN, JoAnn (& John) Congdon of Denver, CO, Diane (& Larry) Kirby of New Bloomfield,MO; 2 Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Mathias Ganjes.
No services will be held. Burial in North Dakota at a later date.
