Leona Poucher, age 95, of New Prague, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Mala Strana Health Care Center.  Leona was born March 13, 1918 in Montevideo, MN to John Hegge & Nettie (Eid) Jacobson.  She attended public schools in Montevideo and the Brady & Rogers Beauty Academy in Minneapolis.  She married Allan J. Poucher on May 25, 1940 in Montevideo.  Leona worked as  a beautician at Monticello and also in Minneapolis for 5 years.  Leona and Allan called Richfield home for 25 years before moving to New Prague in 1981.  Leona was a former member of Eastern Star and she loved to golf and bake.

Leona is survived by her daughter, Nancy Poucher and her husband, Leonard Berner of Provincetown, Massachusetts.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Allan on January 4, 2005; her parents; 6 sisters, Minnie Foss, Sanda Nelson, Cora Broughton, Nora Haff, Helen Corrigan, Evelyn Michie.

There will be a graveside service for Leona on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Czech National Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Steven Trewartha of Faith Point Lutheran Church officiating.
