Larry Gross, age 58, of New Prague, died Friday, May 16, 2014 at his home. Larry was born July 27, 1955 in Robbinsdale at North Memorial Hospital to Stephen Herman and Mary Jean (Hughes) Gross. He was raised in Golden Valley, attended Armstrong High School and then went on to obtain his degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville. Larry married Mary Lynn Wondra on May 18, 1985 at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery. Larry was self-employed in sales and installation of windows and doors. A man of great integrity, he treated everyone with honesty and fairness. A friend to all who met him, Larry took a genuine interest in people of all ages. He was devoted to his family and especially loved camping, boating, and family vacations. He was known to always have a project going and loved just “putzing”.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn of New Prague; 4 children, Mary Kate Gross of Edina, Laura (& James) Lowe of Duluth, Stephen of New Prague, and Leah Gross of New Prague; his mother, Mary H. Gross of New Prague; 4 brothers, Jim (& Carol) of Brooklyn Park, Ed of Plymouth, Chuck (& Pam) of Nashville, Tom (& Jan) of Phoenix. He is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Herman Gross.
Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Fr. David Barrett officiating. Visitation will occur Wednesday, May 21st from 4 – 8 PM and Thursday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home. Lunch will be held at the KC Hall in New Prague.
