Kevin Winter, age 57, of New Prague, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 7, 2015.  Kevin was born on September 19, 1958, in Augsburg, Germany, to Helmer O. and Ethel Joy (Fliss) Winter.  He was raised in the Bloomington and New Prague areas, graduating from New Prague High School in 1976.  After graduation, he went to work at Pepsico in Burnsville where he would work throughout his lifetime.  He married Deb Vandenheuvel on May 11, 1987, in Las Vegas, NV.  Kevin enjoyed his hobby farm and was above all, a family man.  He doted on his granddaughter.

Kevin is survived by his daughters, Amber of Jordan and Manda of Kilkenny; parents, Helmer and Ethel  Joy Winter of Webster; granddaughter, Bralynn; brothers, Kirk of Waconia and Keith of Colorado Springs, CO.  He is preceded in death by his wife Deb, on August 6, 2011.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Friedens Lutheran Church in Lanesburgh ( 28983 181st Ave., New Prague) with Reverend Henry Koch officiating.  Visitation will take place Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home and at church 1 hour prior to service.  Burial will follow services at Friedens Cemetery.
