Joyce Sticha, age 65, of New Prague, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at The Lodge on Natchez Hospice.  Joyce was born December 29, 1948 in New Prague to Melvin P. & Rita G. (Mechtel) Sames.  Joyce was raised in Jordon and was a graduate of Jordan High School. She was the owner/operator of NDS Drilling Supply of Elko.  Joyce loved her job and enjoyed playing cards & games and traveling with her grandchildren and family.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Gregory Sticha (& Significant other, Elda Macias) of Jordon and Todd & Terri Sticha of New Prague; grandchildren, Madeline, Sissy, Brynn, Tyler, & Rylan; sister, Kathy (& Gene) Nerud of Lonsdale; brothers, Terry Sames of New Prague, Bruce Sames (& Significant other, Kim Mundahl) of Prior Lake; brother-in-law, Allen Pexa of New Prague.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin & Rita Sames; sister, Barb Pexa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10 AM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli with Father John Lapensky officiating. Visitation will take place Sunday from 4 – 8 PM and Monday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial will occur at St. John’s Cemetery in Veseli.  Lunch will follow at the KC Hall in New Prague.
