Joan Warner, Age 87, of New Prague, died peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault.  Joan was born on June 13, 1933 in Mankato to William and AnnaJane (Fuller) Ward.  She attended Mankato High School and married the love of her life, Merle J. Warner, on January 28,1950 in Mankato.  They lived near Waterville, MN, where they raised their 9 children.  They bought a farm and moved to New Prague in 1978, where Joan continued to farm with Merle until his death.  Joan was involved in the kids' 4-H activities, sewing clothes, and gardening.  She loved a good game of cards and was engaged and ready for whatever the activity and known to be able to put a meal together at the drop of a suggestion.  Her family was her life's blood and her sweet, loving, non-judgmental nature will be sorely missed by all of them and her many friends.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Joan is survived by her children, Cheryl (& Joe) Henning of Clarence Center, NY, Steve (& special friend, Diane Enstad) of Waterville, Susann (& Tom) Miller of Morristown, Kenneth (& Kim) of Faribault, Merle, Jr. (& Kari) of Waterville, Randy (& Cheryl) of New Prague, Lori (& Greg) Hartmann of New Prague, Kristin (& Earnest) King of Stafford, VA, Jodi (& Jeff) Wagner of Sauk Rapids; sisters, Janice Dean) Gilman of Mankato and Jane (Merle) Volk of Florida; brothers, William (Sandy) Ward, Jr. of Mankato and Larry (Galina) Ward of Florida; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Merle on June 23, 2013; parents; grandson, Lance Warner; sister, Joyce Lundgren; sister-in-law, Jean Ward.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Minneopa Cemetery in Mankato with Reverend Diane Goulson officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Moments Hospice, 1816 2nd St. SW - Suite B, Rochester, MN  55902.
