Obituary

Jed Randal Kreuser, age 33 of Cedar Lake Township, entered Eternal Life on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Jed was born on January 25, 1993 to Dr. Steven and Lin (Sticha) Kreuser. He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School, graduated from New Prague High School in 2011 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Gustavus Adolphus in 2015. Jed worked as a medical sales professional.

Jed was a precious toddler with a warm and sweet disposition that he carried his whole life and shared with all who had the honor of receiving one of his warm, full hugs. As a friend put it, “Jed was a hug in human form.” In high school, Jed was an A student and spent many Sunday afternoons at the ballparks with his dad and brother. His talent for basketball lead Jed to become one of the greatest three-point shooters the New Prague Boy’s Basketball Team has ever known. Jed was so proud of his team, the bond they shared and their trip to State in 2010. The family coming together to watch Jed play in high school gyms across Minnesota for those years through rain, shine and snowstorms was truly joyful. Jed took great pride in the ways he brought us together. Jed met his two best friends, Marty and Coleman, during his time at Gustavus, and they remained close the rest of his life, supporting each other through the years.

To those who loved him the most, he was our “Frankie” – a nickname given to him by his mom when he was very young. Jed loved working out, music, singing, gaming, his cat Eileen, long visits with his mom and watching sports with his dad. Jed took several adventures post-college, but they always led him back to the home and family where his heart found such solace and comfort. He helped his parents every day and in so many ways; he often attended Mass at St. Patrick on Saturday nights and prayed with them in the mornings and evenings. Jed cherished the way his mom cared for and loved him. The two of them watched Wheel of Fortune together every night and Jed always “won.” Jed viewed his dad as the greatest provider and his very best friend. Jed’s brother followed in his big brother’s footsteps, playing New Prague Basketball. Jed was his brother’s best man in his wedding last year and they shared a mutual love for the Timberwolves. Jed always had an enveloping, lingering hug for his two older sisters; they enjoyed his long text messages telling them he loves them. He and his siblings enjoyed many games of Pollyanna through the years – the teasing and competition brought endless laughs, especially when reflected in his beautiful smile. Jed was the best uncle to his four nieces who absolutely adored him. Family get togethers were spent with him playing, coloring and hugging them. Everyone who knew Jed knew that it took the shortest conversation with him to feel his love and warmth. Our beloved tradition of attending summer fairs with our entire family will never be the same without him. He was kind-hearted, generous, funny, smart, handsome and so very special. We will miss him every day until we see him again.

Jed is loved and treasured by his parents, Dr. Steve and Lin Kreuser of St. Patrick; siblings Jamie (Aaron) Balvin of New Brighton, Jodi (Brandon) Jaeger of Lakeville and Dr. Will (MacKenzie) Kreuser of Prior Lake, and; nieces Eden, Caroline, Ivy and Camille. He joins many loved ones in Heaven including his brother Benjamin Kreuser, sister Erin Kreuser, uncle Randal Sticha, grandparents Roman and Lorraine Kreuser and Leonard and RoseAnne Sticha.
