Jean Ann Stokes, age 85, of Frontenac, formerly of Waterloo, IA, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague, MN.  Jean Ann was born November 9, 1930, in Waterloo, IA to Paul and Pauline (Knapp) Hartman.  She was raised in Waterloo, attended nursing school, and married Ralph Keith Stokes on February 17, 1950.  Jean Ann worked as a patient advocate at the Red Wing Health Center and in addition, was very active throughout her life in volunteering in a variety of community organizations.  A very generous-spirited woman, her children and grandchildren were the top priority in her life.

Jean Ann is survived by her two daughters, Lynne (Bruce) Hansen of Prior Lake and Julie Trattles; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Keith on December 29, 2011; her parents; daughter, Karen Stokes Wisner; grandson, Robbie Hansen.
