Obituary

Janet Dyslin, age 51, of Webster, died suddenly at her home on Monday, April 22, 2013.  Janet was born on November 26, 1961 in Buffalo Center, Iowa to Wilbert & Gertrude A. (Harms) Meinders.  She attended Buffalo Center Public Schools and went on to earn her degree at Mankato State University.  Janet married James Dyslin on October 6, 1990 at Ramsey Reformed Church in Titonka, Iowa.  The couple made their home in Webster, MN where Janet worked with her husband as the owner of D & M Enterprise Trucking Company for 24 years.  Janet was an avid volunteer and her activities included the New Prague Softball Association (she served as secretary), the New Prague Area Schools, including Post-Prom and Senior Sendoff, the New Prague Dance Company, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Janet enjoyed being outside gardening, going to Duluth, and being well-known as a sensational baker.

Janet is survived by her husband, Jim of Webster; daughters, Megan & Allison, also of Webster; step-daughters, Kim & Kelly; parents, Wilbert & Gertrude (Harms) Meinders; brothers, Gary (& Sherill) Meinders, Dale (& Sara) Meinders, Bruce  (& Stacie) Meinders, all of Buffalo Center, IA; nieces, nephews, family, & friends.  She is preceded in death by an infant sister, Gale Ann Meinders.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague with Pastor Erick Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday only from 4 – 8 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at Czech National Cemetery in New Prague immediately after the service and lunch will follow at the Church Social Hall.
