James P. Eaton, age 80, of New Prague, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home.  Jim was born July 11, 1932 in Eveleth, Minnesota to Herman J. & Kathryn M. (Gately) Eaton.  Jim was raised in Virginia, MN and attended Virginia Public Schools, Virginia Junior College, & Michigan Technical Institute.  After serving in the US Army in Austria, he married Joan Marcaccini on July 30, 1960 in Eveleth, MN.  They raised their family in New Prague where Jim worked as an engineer for MVE/Chart.

Jim is survived by his children, Tom (& Sandy) of New Prague, Joe (& Shari) of Eagan, Elizabeth Eaton (& Curtis Engebretson) of Stillwater, Kathryn (& Todd) Scheffler of Waunakee, WI, Pam (& Randy) Muetzel of Oakdale, Chuck (& Donna Simon) of New Prague, Meg (& Dan) Seymour of New Prague; 20 grandchildren; sister,Virginia Mary Krusell of Edina; sister-in-law, Lois Ann Eaton of Akron, OH.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan on January 6, 2012; his parents; 2 brother, Billy & Johnny Eaton; sister, Peggy Richards.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague with Fr. Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation will take place on Friday, Nov. 9 from 4 – 8 PM and Saturday morning from 7:30 – 10:00 at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Burial will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.  Lunch will follow at Lakeside Supper Club – no outside food may be brought in.
