Hattie Jensen, age 99, of New Prague, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Mala Strana Health Care Center.  Hattie was born February 11, 1915 in Black River Falls, WI to James T. and Catherine (Kardas) Kodadek.  Hattie attended school in New Prague, graduating from high school in 1933.  She married Vernon Jensen on January 26, 1967.  She worked at both Suel Printing and New Prague Medical Clinic.  Hattie was a charter member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was very active in many of its activities.  She was a member of Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary.  Hattie enjoyed reading, gardening, painting, quilting, and the outdoors.

Hattie is survived by her step-son, Glenn Jensen of Florida; step-daughter-in-law, Donna Jensen of South Carolina; 4 step-grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; special friends, Jackie Ruehling and Violet Patterson.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Jensen in 1998; brothers, John and Robert Kodadek; sisters, Bessie Kodadek, Cecil Bergerson, Patsy Bohnsack, Roberta Kodadek, Josephine Hanzel; step-son, Tom Jensen.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Reverend Erick Thompson officiating.  Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to service.  Burial will follow at the Czech National Cemetery in New Prague.  Lunch will take place at the Fish Tale Grill in New Prague.
