Gladys D. Beinhorn, age 81, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.  Gladys was born March 13, 1937 in New Prague to Erwin H. and Gladys (Castor) Beinhorn.  She lived her whole life in New Prague, graduating from New Prague High School, and worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for Ralph Hendricks at the Hy-Point Hatchery and Cedar Lake Farm in New Prague. Gladys was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling (including once bowling a 300 game). She enjoyed knitting and especially making items for her many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Gladdie is survived by her sister, Lois (& Milton) Holetz of Montgomery; nieces & nephews (and spouses), Jeanne Englishbee, Randy (Janet) Beinhorn, Gay (Jon) Eaves, Deborah (Bob) Bruner, Aris (Ron) Caron, Lou Ann (Harry) Erholm, Twyla Beinhorn, June (Angie)Taylor, Roger (Cindy) Beinhorn, Ginny (Bill) Burgart, Lynn (Duane) Hanson, Tammy (Bill) Ove, Heidi Wellentin, Deidra (Mark) Slavik; 82 extended nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by brothers, Vernon and Virgil Beinhorn; sister, Leola Beinhorn; parents; nephew, Keith Beinhorn; niece, Cheryl Kruckeberg; 1 great-nephew and 1 great-niece.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, January 21, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague with Pastor Ben Hilding officiating.  Visitation will take place at church from 9:30 – 11:00 AM.  Burial will occur at Czech National Cemetery in New Prague followed by lunch in the church social hall.
