George N. Nytes, age 64, of Shakopee, died on Thursday September 17, 2020 in his home with his dear and caring wife at his side after a seven - year long battle with Parkinson's Disease . George was born on June 11, 1956 in New Prague, to Howard and Margaret (Holub) Nytes. He attended Union Hill country school and New Prague P ublic School. George married Ying Li in Shakopee on September 14, 2017 and she supported him through h is journey through Parkinson's. George loved traveling and anything to do with horses, horseback riding in particular.

George is survived by his wife Ying Li; daughter Melissa (Jim) Frederickson of St. Cloud; son Christopher of S andstone ; step-daughter Wang Cheng of San Gabriel, CA; sister Jane (Jim) Havel of Montgomery; brothers Wi lliam (Sandy) Nytes of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joe Nytes of St. Louis Park; grandchildren Brianna, Olivia, and Evan. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Private funeral service s will be held Friday September 25, 2020 at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
