Florence Tinderholm, age 93, of New Prague, formerly of Duluth, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Mala Strana Health Care Center.  Florence was born in Ontario, Canada, on November 16, 1918 to Martin & Annie (Olson) Moe.  She was raised in Duluth where she met & married Alfred Opien in March 1942 in Duluth and after Alred died in 1947, Florence married Gene Tinderholm on Sept. 9, 1950 also in Duluth.  She attended a business school in Duluth and worked as a secretary/receptionist for Crookston Public Schools.  She was a member of the Eastern Star in both Duluth and Crookston.

Florence is survived by 2 sons, Ken “Butch” (& Bobbie) Tinderholm, Dewey (& Veronica) Tinderholm; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husbands and parents.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Oneota Cemetery Chapel in Duluth at 11:30 AM with a visitation at the chapel 1/2 hour prior to service.
