Ellen Kodadek, age 81, of St. Louis Park, died Thursday, May 2, 2013.  Ellen was born on July 28, 1931 to Albert & Dorothea (Meinke) Meyer in New Prague.  She was baptized on August 16, 1931 & confirmed on May 20, 1945.  She attended New Prague schools and graduated from NPHS in 1949.  She worked a short time at Cargill in Minneapolis.  Ellen married Robert Kodadek on October 1, 1955 at the Lanesburgh Lutheran Church Parsonage.  The couple lived in the Twin Cities and raised two daughters.  Later she worked many years at Park Nicollet Clinic in St. Louis Park.  Ellen especially enjoyed her time with family and time at her Women’s Lake Cabin.

Ellen is survived by her daughters, Sue Kodadek of West St. Paul and Sandy (& Scott) Anderson of Vadnais Heights; 2 grandchildren, Kevin & Eric Anderson; sisters, Lorna (& Joe) Docken of Webster and Elaine McGovern of Farmington; sisters-in-law, Shirley Meyer of New Prague and Hattie Jensen of New Prague; many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and brother, Don Meyer.

Funeral Service will take place Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague with Pastor Erick Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be from 1 – 3 PM at church also on Saturday.  Interment will be in the Czech National Cemetery in New Prague immediately after the service.
