Donna M. Busta, age 91, of Le Sueur, formerly of New Prague, died peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Oak Terrace in Le Sueur. Donna was born on April 8, 1931 in New Prague, to Julius and Helen (Wondra) Tiede. She grew up in the Kilkenny area, attended country school and Montgomery High School. She married Frank E. Busta on October 19, 1948 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Montgomery and joined him on the farm where they raised their six children. In addition to her contributions as a farm housewife, Donna worked as a housekeeper, for a short time with Schumacher New Prague Hotel, and for over 35 years with Mala Strana Health and Rehabilitation Center. During what spare time she had, she enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, embroidery, and crocheting. Family gatherings brought her great joy and her easygoing nature was infectious. Her happy-go-lucky attitude and the smile that lit up her face will be missed by all who knew her.

Donna is survived by her children, Robert Busta (friend, Barb Chlan) of Kilkenny, Janet (Allan) Vlasak of Jordan, Karen Busta of Shakopee, David (Karen) Busta of Cape Coral, FL, Carol (Brian) Schoenbauer of New Prague; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband,Frank on June 24, 2000; parents; daughter, Sharon Vlasak; sister, Lorraine Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home, with a 2-hour visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will occur at Czech National Cemetery in New Prague, followed by lunch at the KC Hall.
