Delores M. Dvorak, age 94, died peacefully with her family at her side at her home at Praha Village on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Delores was born on December 24, 1928 in New Prague to Helmer and Anna (Krueger) Krohn. She attended New Prague Public Schools and met her husband, Rudy Dvorak, in New Prague. The couple married in the same church where Delores was baptized and confirmed, Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church on October 20, 1948. After Rudy retired, the couple enjoyed many trips together, seeing much of the United States. Her faith and church formed the tenet of her life and she attended weekly bible studies at Friedens throughout her life and lived her faith. Her gardens were legendary and she routinely shared them with family and friends with little flower bouquets to brighten a day or the vegetables both fresh and canned that graced her table, adding to her reputation as a great cook. She successfully and independently lived in her home until age 93. Life revolved around her family and Delores rarely missed an activity that her children or grandchildren were involved in, whether it was sporting events or concerts, or lending both physical and emotional support whenever the need arose. Her family brought her great joy.

Delores is survived by her children, Jenny (David) Schultz of Good Thunder, Jackie (Ken) Meyer of Eden Prairie, Barb (Brett) Paradis of Alexandria, Brad (Amy) Dvorak of Burnsville, Sue (Marty) Busch of Red Wing; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Vonnie Marek of Prior Lake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy, on July 23, 2001; parents; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mae Schultz and Jamie Anne Paradis; brother, Orville Krohn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lanesburgh with Pastor Henry Koch officiating. Visitation will take place at church from 1:30 – 3:00 PM. Burial will occur at Friedens Cemetery followed by lunch in the church hall.
