Dean Johnson, age 60, of Webster, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at his home.  Dean was born July 8, 1953 in Willmar, Minnesota to Robert M. & Thorma (Mazo) Johnson.  He was raised in Prior Lake, where he attended Prior Lake Public Schools.  He married Judy Kaufenberg on November 6, 1971 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in New Market. Dean was self-employed as a carpenter. Dean loved time with his kids and grandkids and was known as a “dad” to many, many kids.

Dean is survived by his wife, Judy Johnson of Webster; sons, Cory (& Angie) of Joliet, Montana, Brett of New Market, Robb (& Kari) of New Prague; mother, Thorma Johnson of New Prague; sisters, Lois Suss of New Market, Debbie (& John) Crow of Princeton, Jodi (& Steve) Severson of Apple Valley; 6 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Johnson; brother, Steven (in infancy).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in New Market with Father Patrick Barnes officiating.  Visitation will take place Sunday from 4 -8 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 – 11:00 at church.  Burial will occur at St. Nicholas Cemetery and lunch will follow in the church basement.
