David Henry Iverson, 57, passed away on February 3, 2026 in his beloved northwoods of MN.
David "Dave" was born on May 3, 1968 in Edina, MN, to Emmet and Lavonne (Leland) Iverson.
Dave graduated from Mankato East High School in 1986 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance from Minnesota State University - Mankato in 1991. He started his career at his father's company, Zahl Equipment Co. in Mankato, later working as a Sales Representative for the company after college. He went on to work for 3M for 32 years, retiring in 2024 as VP of Enterprise Customer Operations.
Dave married his hometown sweetheart, Melissa "Mitzi" Barklow, on October 10, 1992 in Mankato, MN. Together, they built a beautiful family with their two children, Austin (Jordan) Iverson and Emma (Bryce) Elkin, and granddaughter Isla Iverson. Dave was a hardworking, encouraging, and loving father, who was always engaged in his family's education, sports, work, and hobbies. Since retiring in 2024, Dave looked forward to spending his free time with his family that he loved so much.
In addition to being with his beloved family and friends, Dave enjoyed spending time up at the family cabin in Crane Lake. He had a love for winter weather, snowmobiles, and all things music (especially rock). He enjoyed sharing his interests with others, including taking family/friends on snowmobile trips, talking vintage snowmobiles, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for anyone who wanted to join him. He could always be seen with a warm smile on his face and a sincere interest in others' lives and wellbeing. Dave was involved in multiple clubs and groups in Crane Lake, where he shared his passions for the outdoors and motorsports with that community. He will forever be remembered for his catchphrase to all riders - "Ride Right, Ride Safe."
Dave is survived by his wife Mitzi, his children, Austin (Jordan) and Emma (Bryce), his granddaughter, Isla, and his sister, Diane (Roger) Giese.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Emmet and LaVonne Iverson, his father and mother in law, Bruce and Marilyn Barklow, and his brother, Bruce Iverson.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, February 16th from 1-4pm at Ridges At Sand Creek in Jordan, MN. Please join us to honor an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred, so the family can donate to Dave's favorite clubs and organizations.
