Darlene M. Jostock, age 83, of New Prague, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her home. Darlene was born March 24, 1929 in Elgin, MN to Ralph Titterington and Gladys Nesler. She was raised and attended schools in Plainview and married Jerry Jostock on February 23, 1946 there. Darlene worked at Vrinktons in Le Center, Minnetonka Labs in New Prague, for a sewing company also in New Prague, and for many years as a lab/x-ray technician with Sister Ruth Ann at Queen of Peace Hospital. Most recently she used her people skills as a hostess at the restaurant in Mystic Lake. She was a boy scout master when her sons were growing up and volunteered at church and at the hospital where she used her gift with arranging flowers.
Darlene is survived by her sons, Roger (& Virginia) Jostock, Allen (& Sandy) Jostock, Randal (& Lisa) Jostock; 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilee (& Bruce) Caldwell, Sharon (& Larry) Micklison; son-in-law, Mark Rademacher. She was preceded in death by her husband; and daughter, Patricia Rademacher.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 7, 2012, at 11:00 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague with Fr. Kevin Clinton officiating. Visitation will be at church 2 hours prior to mass. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
