Dale Tupy, age 52, of New Prague, died suddenly on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at his home. Dale was born on February 19, 1960 in New Prague to Arnie and Jeanette (Lexa) Tupy. He graduated from New Prague High School in 1978 and on August 11, 1984, he married Bonita (Bonnie) White at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Dale worked for LeSueur Foundry, Pies Inc., Easy Loader, and later New Prague Schools. Most recently he worked for Town’s Edge and Praha House in New Prague. Dale was an active member of the New Prague Sportman’s Club. He believed in preserving nature and enjoyed recycling metals as a pastime. He loved science fiction and spending time with his grandson, Patrick.
Dale is survived by his wife, Bonnie; 2 daughters, Miranda & Corinna, both of New Prague; son, Zachary of New Prague; Grandson, Patrick Tupy; parents, Arnie & Jeanette Tupy of New Prague; Sister, Jayne (& Paul) Skluzacek of New Prague; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas and grandparents, Art & Julia (Voracek) Lexa and Wencel & Mayme (Turek) Tupy.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Mark Bents from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague. Visitation will take place 2 hours prior to service. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine after a lunch which will be served at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
