Clarence J. “Pork” Bisek, age 83, of Belle Plaine, MN, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at St. Gertrudes Health Care Center in Shakopee, MN. Clarence was born on November 2, 1931, in New Prague, MN, to Edward A. and Sylvia L. (Washta) Bisek. He graduated from New Prague High School and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Clarence married Mary M. Syndergaard on February 14, 1953, at Ft. Riley, Kansas. They made their home in New Prague, where Clarence worked in commercial construction, on such projects as the Hormel Plant in Austin, MN, the Civic Center and Apache Plaza in Rochester, MN, and the Science Building at MSU in Mankato, MN. After retiring as a superintendent, they moved to Fish Lake in Fergus Falls, where they would remain until June of this year when they moved to Belle Plaine, MN. Clarence was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and the Otter Tail Sportsmen’s Club. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid stamp collector.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Mary of Belle Plaine, MN; children, Ann Bisek of Olympia, WA, Margaret Bisek of Proctor, MN, Jane Weiers of Savage, MN, Wendy (& Steve) Ellman of Belle Plaine, MN; grandchildren, Mackenzie Bisek, D. Scott (& Jen) Babcock, T. Ryan Babock, Jordan Weiers, Chloe Weiers, Jessie Ellman, Brandon Ellman; great-grandchildren, Bowen Babcock & Sophia Ellman; sister, Betty (& Dennis) Gerold of New Prague. He is preceded in death by his parents.
