Clara Kohn, age 93, of New Prague, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague.  Clara was born August 20, 1920 in New Prague to Jacob W. & Anna C. (Pomije) Maxa.  She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and New Prague High School.  She married Felix C. Kohn in New Prague on May 29, 1940.  After Felix’s tragic death in 1952, Clara worked at Anthony’s Department Store and Anchor Glass Company in Savage to support her 4 children.  Clara loved her grandchildren, was an animal lover, and enjoyed sewing, reading, knitting, baking, and her vegetable garden.

Clara is survived by her children, LeRoy (& Agnes) Kohn of Rosemount, Lloyd (& Cathie) Kohn of Coon Rapids, Patricia Rosendahl of St. Cloud, Allen (& Jurene) Kohn of Hutchinson; 2 sisters, Dorothy Koppi  & Lucille Busch both of New Prague; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Felix on December 4, 1952; son, Jerome in infancy; brother, Jacob A. Maxa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with Father Dave Barrett officiating.  Visitation will take place Thursday from 4 – 7 PM and Friday morning from 7:30 – 10:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Interment will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery with lunch immediately following at the KC Hall in New Prague.
