Carl Williams, age 74, of Webster, died suddenly Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his home.  Carl was born on June 26, 1939 in Minneapolis to Carl A. & Genevieve L. (Thomas) Williams.  He grew up in Minneapolis and the Osseo area,  graduating from Minneapolis Vo-Tech High School.  Carl served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany.  After his service, he married Judith M. Eddans on October 7, 1967 in Minnewashta Church.  The couple moved to their home in the countryside in Webster and Carl realized his dream to own and operate a hardware store – Trustworthy Hardware Store in Le Sueur, Minnesota.  He was a member of the Le Sueur American Legion; Carl loved to work, loved time with his children and grandchildren, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Carl is survived by his wife, Judy of Webster; children, Tammie Williams-Quiggle (& Dan Quiggle) of Garfield, MN, and Carl A. (& Michelle) Williams of Belgrade, MN; grandchildren, Carl E., Althea C., David R., & Isaiah A. Williams; siblings, Thomas (& Carol) Williams of Maple Grove, Mi (& Larry) Johnson of Elk River, David (& Darlene) Williams of Elk River, George (& Barb) Williams of Littleton, CO.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Solor Lutheran Church in Webster.  Visitation will take place on Thursday from 4 – 8 PM at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.  Burial will occur at the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Carl A. Williams, Carl E. Williams, Dan Quiggle, David Riffenburg, Dale Winters, Tammie Williams-Quiggle, and Eric Nelson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Williams, David Williams, George Williams, Larry Johnson, Jim Boylan, and Gene Schumacher.  Lunch will follow burial in the church basement.
