Bill Orr, age 74, of New Prague, died suddenly Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital New Prague.  Bill was born December 29, 1938 in Fairmont, MN to Manley W. & Agatha (Eisenminger) Orr.  He attended public schools in Fairmont, St. John’s University, & Mankato State University, attaining a Master’s Degree in Education.  Bill married Dorothy Nawrocki on August 8, 1959 in Fairmont, MN and the couple moved to New Prague where Bill taught Junior and Senior High mathematics for 38 years in the New Prague School System.  Bill was involved with the New Prague Jaycees, New Prague Education Association, the RCIA and Religious Education programs for St. Wenceslaus Church, & Lau’s Bakery Coffee Clutch.  He was an avid devotee of fishing and hunting and a huge Sodoku & crossword puzzle fan.

Bill is survived by his wife, Dorothy of New Prague; children, Shelly Orr (& Sia Rahimi) of Eden Prairie, Renee Orr of Minneapolis, Julie (& Gary) Peterson of Minneapolis, Tricia (& Dan) Ambroz of Chaska, Thomas Orr of Eden Prairie, David Orr of Norwood Young America; grandchildren, Mitra, Parisa, Amelia, Owen, Jacob, Josie, Justin, Grant, Amber, Luke; brothers, Gilbert (& Tine) Orr of Pueblo, CO, Paul (& Katie) Orr of Minneapolis; sisters, Therese (& David) Kaiser of Roseburg, OR, Karen (& Victor) Trutwin of Rice, MN, Agnes Sheedy of Minneapolis.  Preceded in death by his parents, Manley & Agatha Orr; son, Billy Orr; sister, Gervaise Estes.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 15, 2013 10 AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague with Father Kevin Clinton officiating.  Visitation Sunday, April 14, 2013 4 – 8 PM and Monday morning from 7:30 – 9:30 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home.  Interment immediately after mass at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.  Lunch will follow interment at the KC Hall in New Prague.
