Beverly Mae Batz, age 83, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN.  Beverly was born on August 10, 1930 in Wausau, WI.  She was the second of five children born to Raymond and Leona (Zunker) Kirstein.  Beverly lived in Wausau and worked for Employers Mutual for nine years in the statistical department.  In 1956 she met Willis “Bill” Batz and moved to Madison, WI where she worked for American Family Insurance Co. in payroll and accounting.  They were married May 31, 1958 in Wausau, WI.  The Lord blessed their union with two daughters, Cynthia and Constance.  Her children were first in her life and every day of her life.  Beverly and her family moved from Wisconsin to Newark, Ohio in 1966, where her husband worked as an auditor for the government.  In 1968 Bill was transferred to Dayton, Ohio and in 1973 was transferred to McClellan AFB.  They lived in Citrus Heights, CA and in 1986 they moved to Roseville, CA.  Beverly’s final move was to Belle Plaine, MN in 2011.  Her hobbies were cooking and gardening.

Beverly is survived by her daughters, Cindy (& Reverend Henry) Koch of New Prague and Constance (& Jamie) Makuuchi of Mission Viejo, CA; grandson, Nathanael; granddaughters, Kolby & Blake; siblings, Eileen (& Delmar) Kolbe of Marathon, WI, Bill (& Shirley) Kirstein of Merrill, WI, LouAnn (& Jim) Jester of Beloit, WI, and John (& Mary) Kirstein.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill on July 25, 2006 and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 9th at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lanesburgh with Reverend Henry Koch officiating.  Lunch will follow in the church fellowship hall.
