Barbara J. Josephson, age 76, of Barnesville, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 1, 2025. Barbara was born on December 14, 1948, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Robert "Tom" and Joyce Fines. She graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. Barb met the love of her life, Neil, while they were both working at Silverline, a sailboat manufacturing company. The two were married in June of 1969. After a 2 year stay in West Fargo, they moved to an acreage in Barnesville, MN, where they raised their family and made their home for 52 years. Horses were Barb's lifelong passion. She spent many years showing them and found joy in every moment she spent in the saddle. She also had a special love for dogs and proudly showed her champion cocker spaniels. Barb adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. After Neil retired, they enjoyed traveling together, especially to the Black Hills,a place Barb held close to her heart and where she loved to ride. Barb was always helping others. She had a strong personality, a gift for lifting the spirits of those around her, and a love of social gatherings with friends and family. To know Barb was to have your day brightened; her presence brought comfort, laughter, and light. Barb is survived by her sons, Johnny and Robert (Rachael); grandchildren Noelle (Colton) Josephson Sandberg, Emily Josephson, Madison Josephson, and Noah Josephson; siblings Carmen (Jerry) Grace, Cindy Fines, Rob (Kim) Fines, and Patty (Kevin) Larson; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Josephson, her parents, and her brother, Stephen Fines. Services will be planned at a later date.
