Obituary

Arnold C. Sticha, age 80, of Webster, died unexpectedly following a brief illness, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Hennepin County Medical Center. Arnie was born on March 11, 1943 at the family farm to Charles E. and Angeline M. (Cervenka) Sticha. He attended Most Holy Trinity Parochial School and New Prague High School. He served with the Army National Guard. Arnie was a dedicated farmer his entire life but his strong work ethic led him to numerous other jobs as well. He enjoyed his time at the Ranchero Supper Club, Novak Sanitation, and Chart. He loved gardening and lawn work and was a faithful caretaker mowing lawn at the cemetery in Webster. Arnie loved people and his kind, friendly nature made him a favorite with those who knew him and his many nieces and nephews. He was a man of deep faith and had a devotion to the rosary, which he prayed daily. He especially enjoyed old-time music, polkas, and attending his brother, Charlie's band gigs. His kindness, teasing personality, and gentle nature has left a hole in the hearts of his family and friends.

Arnie is survived by his siblings, Margie Lexa of New Prague, Janet Turek (Mark Michel) of New Prague, Angie Franek of New Prague, Betty (Larry) Doyle of Webster, Charlie Sticha of Webster, Fritz Sticha of New Prague, Norman (Charlene) Sticha of Lonsdale; many nieces and nephews.
