Alice F. Bruzek, age 87, of New Prague, died early Sunday morning at Mala Strana Health Care Facility.  Alice was born May 31, 1924 in Erin Township, Rice County, MN to James & Frances (Sevcik) Hruska.  She attended the Catholic School in Lonsdale and Rice County District #46 School.  She married Robert G. Bruzek on August 24, 1945 in New Prague.  Alice worked for 16 years at Queen of Peace Hospital in the laundry department and also at Bilek’s Bakery and Lau’s Bakery.  She loved to cook and bake and was noted for her apple pie and banana bread.  She was an avid walker!  She is survived by son, David (& Elizabeth) Bruzek; daughters, Mary (& Lyle) Nagel, and Kirs (& Carmon) Malecha; son-in-law, Ray Preslicka, brother, James (& Marie) Hruska; sister, Lillian Hruby; sister-in-law, Mary Hruska; grandchildren, Kathy (& Jeff) Keogh, Greg Preslicka, David Preslicka, Mike Preslicka, Amy (& Chris) Coffin, Chad Nagel, Missy (& Brian) Trnka, Ryan (& Kim) Bruzek, Nicci Malecha, Jill Malecha; 12 Great-grandchildren.  Mass of Christian Burial for Alice will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Bruzek Funeral Home with visitation 2 hours prior.
